PRE TREATMENT INTRUCTIONS

Consultation
Schedule a consultation with your qualified skin, care, professional, to discuss goals, expectations, and any concerns you have. They will assess your skin type and condition to determine if a VI chemical peel is suitable for you.
It is possible to have a consultation and treatment the same day.

home care
It may be required for patients to follow a specific home care, treatment instruction, and use recommended products prior to their chemical peel. These instructions are designed to prepare the skin for the procedure and maximize its benefits. Using specific home care treatment products helps to condition the skin, making it more receptive to the Peel solution.

SUN EXPOSURE
Limit your sun exposure and avoid tanning beds for at least two weeks before your chemical peel. Sunburned or heavily tan skin is not suitable for a chemical peel.
It is required to wear a physical sunblock of at least SPF 30 daily to protect your skin.

Hydrate
Maintain good hydration by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your chemical peel. Hydrated skin is better able to tolerate the treatment.

Acid products
Avoid using any retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or other exfoliating products for at least one week before the peel. These products can increase skin sensitivity, and may interfere with the peel effectiveness.

Avoid Make-up
If possible, please arrive with a makeup-free and clean face. This means removing all traces of makeup, including foundation, concealer, powder, eyeshadow, and mascara.

Medication
Inform your skin care provider about any medication's or supplements, you are taking, as some medication's can increase the risk of complications during the peel.

Shaving
If you plan to have a chemical peel, performed on your face, avoid shaving the day of your treatment. Shaving can increase skin sensitivity, and irritation.

Contact Lenses
It is recommended to remove contact lenses prior to the treatment. Although, not mandatory, this helps to minimize any potential discomfort or irritation that may occur during the facial.
If you forget, or are unable to remove them, rest assured that our skilled providers can still perform the treatment safely.
POST TREATMENT INTRUCTIONS

Avoid picking or peeling. It is crucial to resist the temptation to pick or peel off any flaking or peeling skin. Let it naturally sloth off to avoid scarring or infection.

Avoid direct sunlight, and protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays by staying indoors, and wearing a broad-spectrum physical sunscreen with only the active ingredients Zinc and/or titanium of. at least SPF 30.
Sun exposure can worsen pigmentation and increase the risk of complications.

Avoid Heat
Avoid hot showers, steam rooms, saunas, and activities that cause excessive sweating for the first 3-4 days. Heat can worsen inflammation and delay healing.

Hydrate
Drinking plenty of water after a chemical peel is essential for optimal healing and recovery. Water plays a crucial role in maintaining skins hydration and promoting the elimination of toxins from the body.

Keep your skin hydrated by applying a moisturizer recommended by your aesthetician. This helps prevent dryness and promotes healing.
It is recommended to only use Products that are recommended by your aesthetician, as various home options can change the pH of your peel and neutralize your results.

LIMIT ACTIVITY
Avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause excessive sweating for the first few days after your chemical peel. Sweating can irritate the skin and hinder the healing process.

Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser recommended by your aesthetician. Avoid using harsh or abrasive products that can irritate the skin.
Refrain from using exfoliating products, retinoids, glycolic, salicylic or any other potential, irritating skin care products until advised by your provider.
It may be 7-14 days before you may continue using your home care exfoliants.

Attend any scheduled follow up appointments with your provider to monitor your progress and address Any concerns or complications.
