Vanessa Brooks

OWNER, ADVANCE AESTHETICIAN, LSO

from Minnesota, Vanessa Brooks discovered her passion for aesthetics at the young age of 15. As a dancer, she faced challenges with unwanted hair, leading to ingrown hairs and razor burn, which impacted her self-confidence. With her mother’s support, Vanessa sought solutions for her skin concerns, ultimately experiencing a life-changing transformation through laser hair removal.

Since embarking on her journey in the laser industry in 2009, Vanessa has dedicated herself to mastering her craft. She earned her laser safety officer, and aesthetician licenses in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has become certified in over 15 different cosmetic laser treatments. With more than 32,000 hours of successful laser treatments in her 16-year career, her commitment to excellence is evident.

Vanessa has been instrumental in the success of two other startups before launching her own venture, Pure Lux Medspa, in 2017. Her passion for technology drives her to continuously seek out the newest and most effective solutions for all skin tones, ensuring her patients receive the best possible results.

In 2020, Vanessa's dedication was recognized by the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders, bringing her full circle back to the dance community that first inspired her journey into aesthetics. Her love for lasers and commitment to helping others shine through in everything she does.

Welcome to my aesthetics world! My journey began with a passion for helping others feel their best, witnessing the joy and confidence that aesthetic treatments can bring. With over 1,200 hours of advanced education and training, I specialize in safe and effective aesthetic services, including advanced skincare and cosmetic laser treatments. As a certified cosmetic laser specialist, I stay updated on the latest techniques to provide high-quality care tailored to each client's unique needs.

What excites me about the aesthetics industry is its ever-evolving nature, offering innovative treatments and cutting-edge technologies. The Diamond Glow treatment is a personal favorite of mine, delivering instant results and leaving clients with glowing, refreshed skin.

Passionate about enhancing beauty and well-being, I pursued a career in aesthetics, particularly injectables, to help others feel their best. My journey began with personal challenges related to my skin, which fueled my desire to support individuals on their own aesthetic journeys.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The College of St. Scholastica and transitioned from critical care nursing to education before specializing in aesthetics. This unique background, combined with ongoing training and mentoring, empowers me to provide personalized care for my patients.

What excites me most about the aesthetics industry is its constant evolution. New treatments and products emerge daily, broadening my scope of practice and enabling me to offer specialized therapies. My favorite treatment is Botox/Dysport/Daxxify, as it dramatically impacts my patients and is suitable for many. I also emphasize a robust skincare regimen, with Skin Better Science as my personal favorite.

Outside of work, I cherish time with family and friends, spending weekends at the cabin boating in summer and ice fishing in winter. I enjoy golfing, board games, and movie nights. Travel is a passion, and after an unforgettable trip to Europe, I look forward to exploring more destinations like Alaska, the Philippines, and Ireland.

With a deep-rooted passion for aesthetics that began long before my nursing career, I was inspired to pursue injectables after experiencing their transformative effects on my own self-confidence. Witnessing how good skincare and injectables can elevate self-esteem motivated me to help others achieve that same empowerment. My nursing background provides a solid foundation in anatomy, patient care, and safety, essential in the aesthetics industry. I continuously enhance my skills through advanced training in injectables and skincare.

What excites me most about this ever-evolving field is the opportunity to create personalized treatment plans, as no two clients are the same. The shift towards natural-looking results aligns with my belief in enhancing one's innate beauty.
